VBM Tutorial Notes

From Bangor Imaging Unit

Voxel Based Morphometry (VBM) is a method for estimating amount/density of gray matter in the brain. This technique is mostly used for investigating increased/decreased gray matter in patient groups or group of interest e.g. London taxi drivers. The following describes VBM analysis using Statistical Parametric Mapping (SPM) (www.fil.ion.ucl.ac.uk/spm) (see section on how to use SPM for more details), but it is also possible to use fMRIB Software Library (FSL) (www.fmrib.ox.ac.uk/fsl/).
